Shizuka Hancock

I have been to Bournemouth and Poole College of Further Education after which I went to the college which is now part of Bournemouth University. There I studied Natural History and gained a BTEC National Diploma of Design in Technical Illustration.

I wanted to become an illustrator but I started to teach Japanese instead. I always liked painting so I joined PEDAS about 30 years ago and this year I joined Broadstone Art Society. I love ‘en plein air’ which is where I do most of my paintings. I love watercolour and oil.
