Tony Plaskett
Tony Plaskett lives in Dorset, an area which provides inspiration for much of his work. Although achieving an O level in art, he does not have any formal art training. His art work from then included advertising posters for a social club and occasional pieces in oils or acrylics. In 2019 Nina Squire learnt of his previous art work and encouraged him to restart his art journey. During covid he joined her online art group. Since then he has completed workshops in his preferred medium with Nina Squire, Rebecca De Mendonca and Robert Dutton. His pictures are usually of the natural environment but occasionally include more unusual subjects. His main medium is soft pastels but he also works in watercolour and 3-dimensional pieces. His style is loosely representational with elements of expressiveness. He belongs to Nina Squire's online art group and locally to Art on the Heath as well as Broadstone Art Society. He has exhibited locally, had a piece accepted in the Poole and East Dorset Art Society open exhibition and had some success in sales of pastel, watercolour and 3D works.
